In January of 2023, I was given the opportunity to perform a brand "refresh" for NS1, the software startup where I operated as the sole graphic graphic designer since 2017. The overall goal was to keep the logo and the signature NS1 pink while refreshing the rest of the visual brand and updating the website to be more modern and punchy. Since deadlines and budgets were tight, I did most of the visual design work myself, while working directly with our web development agency to create intuitive and modular CMS templates so pages could be built easily by other marketing team members.

Brand sketches proposed to leadership.
There were a few parameters for the refresh: the logo would stay the same, which included keeping the NS1 Pink as a core component of the brand, and the product icons would remain untouched. Based on this, a few different mood boards were proposed. From there, three webpage mockups were developed to better help the decision.

Once a direction had been decided on, it was my job to define what the brand would look like across every iteration. I built out a new web design system using modular components in order to provide variation for each page, as well as created new brand guidelines and brand kit. From there, I had to create new graphic and document templates so our marketing collateral could also be updated.
